I'd tend to agree with this. The physicality of music is fleeting anyway, so
it makes no difference to a lot of people where they get theirs.

We are also talking about two different groups here: those who 'use' the
physical medium, and those who 'consume' it. The consumers are very quickly
outnumbering the users in terms of digital music versus physical media, but
I doubt the separation will ever completely go away, and as you say there
will continue to be those who prefer it that way.

This easily goes in the direction of digital music as well; someone
mentioned that it's amazing that people will trade fidelity for portability,
and there's probably some aspect of disposability there too.
