quote: 'Fascio (plural: fasci) is an Italian language word which was used in the late 19th century to refer to radical political groups of many different (and sometimes opposing) orientations.
A number of nationalist fasci later evolved into the 20th century movement known as fascism.'

while fascism - as an organized movement - didn't officially get started until 1922 the radical right wing was referred to as 'fascio' and more importantly fascism can be seen as a crisis in the development of capitalism
