I agree .. personally I feel that this little movie does not explain
DRM at all. 

I think what they were trying to do is to show that through the years
music has freely transcended to each music playing platform until
themodern age where DRM will prohibit free transmission from one
computer to another. As a demostration it would have made the point
better by showing music flowing from each device to the next and then
getting blocked by DRM when it came time to hop from computer to
computer.
