The disadvantage of Pd and SuperCollider or so is, that you need to
learn a bit more about things like signal processing, composition,
math, programming, etc.

The advantage of Pd and SuperCollider or so is, that you need to learn
a bit more about things like signal processing, composition, math,
programming, etc. 

Because what you learn becomes *your* knowledge afterwards and nobody
can take it away from you again, even if you decide to use a
completely different software or none at all later. These tools let
you learn principles and methods, not only where to click.
