Gosh, just when i thought my MS20 was quite complex!
what i meant is that you can change your arppeggios in Reason just
by changing the notes you play live. Now you can really do it live.
I don't know if it is as efficient as Renoise, I've been trying
this software for only a week or so, and even if i use Reason a
lot, I don't play live with it. But Renoise seems pretty cool.

This is not an arpeggiated sequence or something, I edit the
sequence realtime.
Check this video for a comparison with the Synthesizers.com Q960

Well, I think you can do that kind of stuff live in Reason 4,
using the RPG8 module...
You just have to play your chords live, and it is appergiatted
automatically.

I'm not sure if this is possible in 'normal' sequencers, but it
works amazing in Renoise:

curious what kind of creative advantage/perspective this kind
of sequencer might give over more modern sequencers, like
ableton live or logic?
is their any reason to go down this route aside from an
interest in its historical/gaming context? i know people like
autechre and whatnot claim to use them... i think maybe
venetian snares too... but i just don't see the advantage... it
seems so archaic and unintuitive to me...
thoughts?
