reverb
>any thoughts? why is "reverb" a bad word now? these dry, glitchy
>sounds that we all use rarely have any spacial effects added.. and
>the whole traditional art of production seems to have been thrown out
>the window!..
two artist who come to mind when i read this (off the top of my head) are
Byetone and Senking ..using reverb.. their sounds can be rich but still
minimal. (and quite beautiful)
on the work "SPEC" that i did with taylor (hi taylor) we created tracks
that often mixed both worlds...
small crisp sounds and elements of small reverbs.... often giving the work
a more slight distant/glassy sound... which i ended up liking very much : )
hopefully artists won't set aesthetic limitations or stylistic trappings
on their work merely becuase their work belongs to a certain genre or
style...
: )
