RE: [microsound] microvising...and structures



A question i'd really like to ask to most of the fellow musicians on this
list: when you're working on an electroacoustic track for instance, when you
use software processed sounds, do you then use a sequencer to organize them
? I tend to use cubase , but when dealing with non rythmic tracks or pieces,
it very much feels like collage rather than sequencing... A godd example is
Tetsu Inoue's latest "Fragment Dots": millions of different sounds, but
rather poor structures (very quick cut'n'paste or so it seems). So how many
of you use sequencers n the end ? Or is it a heresy to use a sequencer ? I
don't use Supercollider or Max MSP yet (coming soon...) but rather VST Plug
Ins (the GRM tools are amazing for instance)... So is it a heresy too ?
