actually I didn't wrrite the comments you refer to, but I'll second Frans as a
customer I do not appreciate to be obliged to buy several records, each with few
different tracks, in order to get the complete works of a musician i like.
no "commercialism" has nothing to do with the quality of the music, but it has to do
with attitude and i wouldn't support someone who tantalize his fans in order to get
more money from them. I'd rather see that as "a post-factum argument" showing that
Popp's bad reputation is deserved.
the answer to whereas he be overrated or not lies in his music. I do not question the
fact that you like it or not, just said that Oval sounded better as a 3 piece band,
and their best period was "systemische" and "94 diskont".

they can also stop the importing by not distributing the foreign pressing. and when
local japanese customer want to order a german pressing, once postage added they do
not pay less than buying local edition.

again, on "dok" popp isn't by himself`

I totally agree, when I first heard Oval I was very surprised by the glitch and
strange noises/sounds, it was hypnotising and little by little i sterted to discover
the melodies and harmonies behind "systemische". It was really something special and
new at the time.
