"kyo" from "onkyo" means not 'interest', but 'sound, echo, ring, vibrate' 
etc. sound is same, "kyo" , but character is different.

about the definitions and scenes, the book "technoise materialism" by 
atsusi sasaki(chief editer of fader magazine) will be great help. but it is 
written only in japanese, as usual :-)
