This trick is supported by Samplitude, the PC-based audio editor I use.
There's an option in its CD burning menu for 'allow bonus tracks'; when
this is checked, audio that appears in a project before the track 1 marker
[all track markers are freely moveable...] is accessible in this fashion.
Kudos to the Samplitude developers for one more esoteric bonus feature...
