i am definitely one of these. i am not in front of a computer long enough
each day (and when i am it is with limited time and specific tasks) to
participate in much discussion, but i do post announcements and, most
regularly, the playlist to my radio show, framework. however, to say this
is just 'taking' is unfair; many artists that i would otherwise not have
discovered have contacted me because of the playlists posted to this list.
this has enabled me to widen the spectrum of material i air, and give
exposure to many great small artists. and they have thereby had the
opportunity to have their work played on one of the very few radio shows
dedicated specifically to a particular form (in this case, field recording),
on a radio station with very good listenership (resonancefm). i put a lot
of effort into those playlists, and i think they are a very good resource.

however, if i'm told that the community would rather i not post them here, i
will obviously comply. you don't need to threaten to 'boot me off.' just
ask.
