I've been sampling entire films by ripping DVDs, then stripping
out frequencies and boosting others to create sounds that I can
sequence in another package.
It's amazing what you can find in the background sometimes.

If you're using sampled sounds, it's up to you to creative with
them. If you take some amen breaks and add drop bass sampled
off old Moving Shadow (or whatever) releases, it's bound to
sound 'stagnant'!
That's exactly how I used to make music on my Amiga when
I was a kid. Good fun, and rave was big then so my mates loved it.
