Anyway, enlighten me to what it is that is really bothering you about CD-rs.


in addition to lance's comments about CDRs, i'd like to add something that may sound a little voodoo, as i have no scientific evidence to back it up. pressed CDs just sound better. really. something about the sound is quieter and thinner. i remember a discussion i had with phil easter of malignant antibody records and black box recorder mastering about this, and he agreed.

my only personal example is that even the premaster CDR which was sent to a plant to be duplicated, did not sound as good or as loud as the final CD made from that CDR. you wouldn't think that possible, but i listened on the same discman.
